Pathways to Postsecondary Education Awards

For over 10 years, the Pathways to Postsecondary Education Awards have recognized outstanding college access programs across the State that prepare, encourage, transition or retain students into postsecondary education. The awards are meant to honor the outstanding programs, in the hopes that the programs could be emulated to assist other youth to succeed in postsecondary education. The award winners are honored with an award ceremony/breakfast with state legislators which takes place on the second day of the Developing Arizona’s Human Capital Conference.

Award Nominations

Award nominations are accepted for programs that fit into five categories: K-12, Higher Education, Community, Business and Public/Private Partnership. The award nomination form contains six questions that the person nominating the program must complete (self-nominations are welcome).

A selection committee will review the nominations and select the award winners in each of the categories. In addition to the five categories, the committee may also choose to give special recognition to other outstanding programs for continued excellence. The selection committee will also select the honorable mentions (usually this will consist of all other nominated programs). The selection committee is generally made up of a representative from the higher education, community college, business and community sectors.
